Творчий спадок Т. Г. Шевченка в перекладах іноземними мовами

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу перекладів Т. Шевченка іноземними мовами, а також визначенню місця творчості поета в літературному житті Західної та Північно-Західної Європи, окресленню часових, кількісних і якісних параметрів перекладів його творів польською та німецькою мовами, установленню ролі українських перекладачів та письменників у презентації творчості поета іноземній спільноті, виокремленню імен основних зарубіжних перекладачів Т. Шевченка, простеженню важливості фонових знань та їхнього впливу на результати перекладу. The article deals with the analysis of T. Shevchenko’s works into foreign languages, with definition of the poet’s works in the literary life of Western and Northern-Western Europe, with the description of the time, qualitative and quantitative parameters of the translations of his works into Polish and German, with the analysis of the role of the Ukrainian translators and writers in the presentation of the poet’s literary works to the foreign community, with the distinction of the names of the main foreign translators of T. Shevchenko’s works, with the justification of the importance of the background knowledge and its influence on the results and accuracy of translation. A special attention has been paid to the peculiar features of T. Shevchenko’s language and style that are unique but difficult to be translated: inner connection with folklore, national songs and national colouring; peculiar rhythm and melody of the poems; usage of many colloquialisms, elements of the old Slavic language; original critical and sarcastic tone of the literary works.
