Особливості політичного дискурсу крізь призму політичних актів (на прикладі політичних актів уряду США)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано особливості політичного дискурсу крізь призму політичних актів уряду США. Особливу увагу приділено проблемі визначення поняття «політичний дискурс», а також його екстралінгвістичним характеристикам, механізмам і технологіям впливу політика на адресата для маніпулювання його свідомістю з огляду на те, що політичний дискурс – найвпливовіше явище у сучасній політичній комунікації. Стаття акцентує увагу на тому, що для дослідження лінгвопрагматичних особливостей англомовного політичного дискурсу доцільно використовувати комплексний підхід до аналізу ролі й особливостей взаємодії мовних засобів в організації змісту та вираженні прагматичного спрямування текстів політичних промов. This paper analyzes features of political discourse revealed through the analysis of the executive orders of the U. S. government. Particular attention is paid to the definition of political discourse and its extra-linguistic characteristics, mechanisms and technologies of politians’ influence the target audience with a view to manipulating public opinion with mind account for the fact that the political discourse is the most influential phenomenon in modern political communication. The article emphasizes the fact that the study of linguistic and pragmatic features of the English political discourse may be carried out only using a comprehensive approach to the analysis of role and peculiarities of the interaction of linguistic resources in terms of content and pragmatics of political speeches. The influence of the analyzed political texts is enhanced through development of various expressive- stylistic devices that appeal to the addressee, including: lexical, phonetic and syntactic ones. All these means are used to convince the target audience of the need to perform certain political actions; as well as to change their political views, beliefs and positions and to promote social and political reaction that would be beneficial for the sender.
