Формалістичні методи віршознавчих студій

Abstract

Йдеться про відому в науці дилему «між ідеєю і формою» (М. Рудницький), яка в кожному часі і контексті набуває іншого втілення. У сучасному українському віршознавстві (принаймні, у багатьох дисертаційних роботах) простежується тенденція до обмеження статистичними підрахунками. Цей процес має місце також у численних мовознавчих дослідженнях поетичного слова. Тут форма прагне зажити власним життям, без жодних зобов’язань щодо конкретного змісту. Тим часом будь-який підрахунок елементів поетики конкретного поета є переведенням процесу пізнання зі сфери змістово-формальної цілості у сферу абстрактних величин, які певною мірою відбивають якості твору, але водночас розривають його на два автономні об’єкти, внаслідок чого форма й набуває самодостатності. Дослідник поезії не може не бути формалістом, але мусить бути свідомий тих обмежень, які містить у собі опис формальних елементів. Об’єкт дослідження для віршознавця – тонка грань між змістом і формою, те місце, де їхня зустріч породжує (чи не породжує) мистецький твір. Саме віршознавці покликані мати справу з тонкою матерією поезії, виявляти її таємничу природу, а отже брати на себе відповідальність за загальну оцінку твору. Сенс вивчення поезії в тому, щоб виявляти нові смисли, які утворюються лише у талановитому тексті, лише через виникнення нових численних перетинів слова зі словом. Потрібен арсенал методик, які посувають у поле зору дослідника не лише структуру, а й значення цілісного твору.It is a wellknown in science dilemma «between idea and form» (M.
