Abstract: The role of digital technologies in the development of the tourism industry and their impact on the transformation of consumer experience are explored. The main digital tools used in the tourism sector, including online booking platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, blockchain and Big Data, are analysed. The benefits and challenges of digitalisation for travel companies, hotels and tourists are outlined. Particular attention is paid to the prospects for the development of digital technologies in the context of increasing the competitiveness of tourism enterprises, personalisation of services and ensuring sustainable develop
