Abstract: According to the statistics there is a large difference between the functions of the participles I of the researched periods of time. The participles in the adverbial function are used much less. As the middle aged participles of the present tense can appear like a part of the verbal form, they dispose of broad pallet of the syntactical forms. Complying with the research, the middle aged participles are used not only attributive, but also predicative and adverbial. The middle aged participles I are used as well in nominal as in predicative form. The participles I occur not only to the nominal but also to the predicative form. The attributive participles can be amplified with the constituents, which depend on the finite verb. It happens because of their coincidence possibility. The usage of the Middle High German Participles I in the syntactical form of adverbial reinforces the opinion that the Participles can live up to the tasks of the adjective and the verb. So, the syntactical functions of the Middle High German Participles I play the instrumental role by classification of the word class.
