Abstract: The main purpose of the work - to determine the characteristics of individual social potential. The major tasks is to investigate the approaches to the study of individual social potential. On the basis of it to the allocate of its main features and formation the author's interpretation of individual social potential. As well as the allocate the main components and types of individual social potential. The methods of analysis, synthesis, logic synthesis, induction and deduction will be used in the work. The relevance of the study is primarily due to the fact that there is few attention paid to individual social potential as a socio-economic category, and it is the basis for formation the potential higher levels and ensuring the social security of the population and the state as a whole. Thus, the study of individual social potential to expand the theoretical base of economic and social sciences. В роботе выделены уровни формирования социального потенциала, его типы и носители. Более подробное внимание уделено социальному потенциалу. Определены его составляющие, дана их характеристика. Выделены функции формирования и реализации индивидуального социального потенциала.
