Поетонімосфера циклу "The Chronicles of Narnia” К. С. Льюїса з точки зору етимології та мовного функціонування (на прикладі гідропоетонімів)

Abstract

Аналізується семантичний клас гідропоетонімів в аспектах їхнього походження та граматичних особливостей. Розгляд власних назв на позначення водних об’єктів зі сторінок фентезійного циклу повістей “The Chronicles of Narnia” К. С. Льюїса через призму зазначених питань дозволяє визначити обумовленість авторського вибору цих мовних одиниць та основні формальні ознаки поетонімів. Виокремлено систему та структурні моделі гідропоетонімів, переважаючими з яких є онімізований апелятив + of + ім’я та онімізований апелятив-означення + онімізований апелятив. Представлено їхні джерела запозичень та типи творення, де домінують види семантичної пропріалізації. Основними граматичними рисами власних назв цього семантичного класу виділено їхнє активне вживання автором в іменникових відмінках, як називному, так і варіативних присвійних конструкціях, та у притаманних йому синтаксичних функціях підмета й додатка. Як унікальні особливості гідропоетонімів виокремлено партитивні конструкції, омонімічні форми суверопоетонімів та онімізовані апелятиви у множині. Визначено місце гідропоетонімів у загальній поетонімосфері досліджуваного циклу та у формуванні авторського ідіолекту.The article studies the semantic class of hydropoetonyms in aspects of their origin and grammatical features. The group of poetonyms in question has been classified into an extensive system : the subgroup of pelahop oetonyms indicating seas and oceans, together with the subgroup of potamonyms representing various rivers. Consideration of proper names denoting water bodies within the suggested issues has proved the author’s determined choice of language units and basic formal features of poetonyms. The system and structural patterns of hydropoetonyms have been suggested with two patterns being the prevaining ones: onymized common noun + of + name, attributive onymized common noun + onymized common noun. The origin and types of word formation of the given semantic poetonym class have been described in details. The type of semantic proprialization has been pointed out as the dominating word building method of hydropoetonyms. The main grammar features of the given semantic class proved to be their active use in the Common Case and various possessive constructions, as well in typical nounal syntactic functions, i. e. the subject and the object). Partitive constructions, homonymic forms and onymized common nouns in plural form have been described as the unique peculiarities of hydropoetonyms. The significance of hydropoetonyms has been outlined in the general poetonym sphere of the investigated cycle and in the author’s idiolect.
