The article is dedicated to the analysis of idiostyle of Sydir Vorobkevych (1836–1903), a talented Bucovynean writer, whose works embrace poetry, prose and drama and who was a leading figure in establishing and developing the Ukrainian literary language in Bucovyna of the second half of the 1800s. The language of S. Vorobkevych’s works passes the local features of speech of Bukovina, representing the elements of south-west dialect, and also includes quite a bit borrowing from the European languages, that was typical for the variant of literary language of Western Ukraine of the second half of ХІХ century.Dialectal vocabulary along with literary ‒ one of language dominants of individually-authorial manner of letter, by means of that the nationally-ethnographic and regional colours is reproduced. It is proved that for modern Ukrainian authors’ idiosystems revealing expression of their own positions by appealing to the authority of predecessors or denying it. The article deals with the analysis of addresses in the works by Yuriy Fedkovych as an important means of verbalization of religious worldview in the nineteenth century. The authors point out that the distinctive feature of Bukovynian writer’s individual style is frequent appeal to higher forces. Despite the widespread belief that pagan views prevail in the Hutsuls’ worldview, Yuriy Fedkovich positioning himself as their representative, language means of verbalization of the addressed speech in the works under analysis show that paganism is reflected only in stylized folklore works or works on historical themes, and in general Christian ideas dominate. In addition to an important function of disclosure of Bukovynians’ language picture of the world, names-addresses to the religious concepts have important stylistic functions: they make texts more emotional, sincere, provide colloquial or elated coloring. The paper analyzes the inaugural address as a separate genre at the border of two styles – official documents style and publicistic style. The author also refers to structural elements of the inaugural address and shows the issues to be carefully and precisely analyzed. Moreover, it describes the characteristic elements distinguishing President Petro Poroshenko’s address given at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on June 7, 2014, that is: occurrence of key words different from the examples used in his previous speeches, repetition, different types of expressions (from very polite to very emotive ones), a number of simple clauses, as well as non-typical endings (Peace be with us! У перекладах із близькоспоріднених слов’янських мов можливості транскодування одиниць із виразним етнокультурним забарвленням набагато ширші, ніж у випадку з неспорідненими мовами. Досліджено такі неперекладні утворення: слова-реалії (історичні, побутові), псевдореалії, антропоніми, фразеологізми, паремії, окремі граматичні класи та форми. The article is devoted to the detailed description of the Ukrainian components of translation which have no equivalents and present close connection with the original. The material for the analysis was Mykhailo Stelmakh’s stories “The geese are flying” and “The holy supper” and its translation into Russian. The overcoming of language barrier in the translation mainly lies in the creative encoding of the words with expressive ethnocultural colouring. Therefore, the original components, that have no equivalents in any translation, are a justifiable and natural phenomenon. In the translations of close related Slavic languages the possibilities of encoding such units are much bigger than in case with unrelated languages. The following formations, which cannot be translated, have been researched: anthroponyms, words-realities (historical, everyday), pseudorealities, idioms, proverbs, definite word forms and grammatical units. It is shown, that the major ways of reproduction of specific Ukrainian components in this Russian translation are transcription and transliteration, modelling words and constructions after foreign patterns, and also using the quotations from the original language. The certain article is devoted to the problem of investigation the peculiarities of explication the category of evaluation in fiction discourse. In this article the role of the verbs of representation in realization the category of evaluation is analyzed. The verbs of representation are divided into three groups: a) the verbs which possess a distinctive seme « evaluation» (the verbs to like and to hate). b) the verbs which express an evaluation contextually. The verbs of this group can explicate themselves only in the certain context where they can express the positive or negative evaluation. c) the verbs of substitution (to do, to be). These verbs can be considered as the auxiliary and representative. In both of these functions they explicate the category of evaluation. The verbs of substitution in the negative form obtain the meaning of evaluation, i.e. can change this meaning from positive to negative and V.V.
