Показано наслідки, яка мала ця подія на суспільно-політичні та культурні процеси в краї.; This article studies the cultural and educational activity of the society «Prosvita» on the territory of the Volyn region in 1920–1930-s. We show that Prosvita became one of the main centers of ukrainian national and cultural movement in the Volyn region during the interwar period. The regeneration of the Ukrainian folk choreography traditions, the development of the instrumental folk music and professional theatre on the Western Volyn lands were connected with that organization.The society took care of the ukrainian schooling and it had developed different forms of out-of-school education among local Ukrainians. Another aspect of this research is the character of the relation between Polish administration and local Ukrainian community. We come to a conclusion that the main goal of the Poland's state policy concerning Ukrainian population in Volyn was step by step elimination of any organizational forms of Ukrainian cultural and educational life in the region and a gradual denationalization of the Ukrainians.

ХХ ст., охарактеризовано трансформацію релігійних ритуалів в атеїстичні, висвітлено проблеми її сприйняття представниками титульної нації України й показано протистояння радянської та української національної ідентичності в окреслений період.The article deals with the essence, the process of creation and the artificial introduction of the new Soviet ritualism as a means of implementing the policy of Ukrainians’ denationalization in the Ukrainian SSR in the 60s and 70s of the XXth century. The author describes the transformation of religious rituals into atheistic ones, analyzes the issue of their perception by Ukrainians as a title nation. The opposition between the Soviet and Ukrainian national identity in the outlined period has been shown. The new Soviet ritualism met ideological principles of communism, policy and ideology of a totalitarian state and became an alternative to traditional Ukrainian religious rites and customs.

Відстежено особливості та відмінності подання інформації про «Просвіту» залежно від часу публікації енциклопедичного видання.The article analyzes the coverage of the society «Enlightenment» in the encyclopedic tradition on the example of individual projects. It showed the socio-political context of the information society in the three-volume «General Ukrainian Encyclopedia» (Lviv; Kolomiya, 1930-1935) and encyclopedia authored by Eugene Onatsky «Ukrainian small encyclopedia». Particular attention is paid to the emigratory-diasporic «Encyclopedia of Ukrainistics» V. Kubiiovych. where posted detailed information about the development of «Prosvit» on the territory of Ukraine and abroad. It is emphasized that the publication of the general part of the «Ukrainistics Encyclopedia» and the release of the first volume of the dictionary of the «EC» gave a powerful impetus to the deployment in the USSR working on its Marxist-Leninist encyclopedic alternative - «Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia» in 17 volumes («SSE-З»), in which the authors were not able to bypass the attention of society, «Enlightenment».
