Ukrainian-Polish border is especially rich common historical and cultural monuments. However, in the last decade Ukrainian-Polish Tourist cooperation goes far beyond the border regions, covering more and more territory, attracting more and more tourists from both countries.

The article highlights practical aspects of the activity of the state archives, namely of the State Archive of Volyn region in the sphere of organization of the usage of the information resources of the National Archival Fund of Ukraine. The basic forms of the usage of the retrospective documentary information, in particular initiative informing, execution of the social and legal, genealogical and thematic requests from the citizens, exhibitions organized by the archives, cooperation with mass media and educational institutions of higher education, usage of the documents in the reading hall were determined and characterized.

Studied, that the past of the Orthodox Church in the Volyn region, reflected in the sources of personal origin in dealing with problems of struggle of the Orthodox and Uniate Churches since the signing of the Union of Brest in 1596, competition Orthodox and Catholic clergy to influence the Volyn parishioners, the reaction of the clergy of the Orthodox Church on the abolition of serfdom in 1861, at conversion to Orthodoxy Czech settlers Volyn province, unification of the Orthodox Church and the ancient Orthodox Old Believers Church of Christ, the influence of the revolutionary events of 1905-1907 for higher church leadership, the importance of individual Orthodox chaplain in the history of the Church in Volyn. Noting, that the origin of the personal best approximate the researcher to the socio-psychological level of Volyn Orthodox clergy of the test of time and the direct perception of the spirit of the age.

It was found that at this time, published books, in which affected the actual problems of research of technology of production of clay products. However, the majority of Ukrainian researchers impurities in the molding mass, the firing temperature was studied using visual observations, in which it is impossible to fully explore the technological processes. Although, at least in the works of Russian archaeologists highlights the results of the study of ancient ceramics from the territory of Ukraine with use of the petrographic and spectral analyses.

Exactly at this time the young scientist became known as an orientalist. He started studying at the sphere of Humanities science at Lviv University and at the same time worked in the historical commission of Scientific Society named after Shevchenko and in Cabinet of the History of Ukraine (1942-1943).
